Composition : Povidone iodine 10%

Usage : Topical microbicide

Composition:

SEPTADINE ointment contains Povidone Iodine 10 %.

Action:

Septadine is a topical antibacterial active against organisms commonly encountered in skin and wound infections.

Uses:

It may be used as an adjunct in the treatment of: Primary or secondary topical infections, dermatic infectious diseases, and infected decubitus or stasis ulcers.

Prophylactically:

1- To prevent microbial contamination in burns and incisions.

2- For degerming skin in catheter care.

Not to be used:

In patient sensitive to iodine substance, and in newborn baby less than one month of age.

Side effects:

If redness, irritation, swelling or pain persists or increases, or if infection occurs, discontinue use and consult physician.

Warning:

It is for external use only.

How to apply:

Apply directly to affected areas as needed. Non occlusion allows air to reach the wound. May be bandaged.

Storage:

Store at temperature below 25°c. keep out of reach of children.

Packing: 1- A plastic jar contains 30 g in a carton box.

2- A plastic jar contains 150 g in a carton box.

3- A plastic laminated tube contains 30 g in a carton box.
